Jewels are one of the hottest and most original bands to come out of the Midlands. They are a dynamic 4-piece band with all original compositions, a brand of music having a unique style and rich individual sound. They have an average age of mid 20's.

Their bare talent and emotional music has thrust them into the forefront of the local music scene & created one of Birmingham's most promising up-and-coming bands.

 
   

With an outgoing, vivacious front person, talented lead guitarist and outstanding rhythm section, they have already created a strong following and fan-base wherever they are heard. Their music is played at local coffee shops, pubs and clubs, and they have received a lot of interest.

 

The songs are alternative style melodic pop, rock with solid bass and drums, diverse innovative guitar and unsurpassable, emotional vocals. Their talents, exuberance and energy leave the crowds cheering for more.

The band have been very successful to date, only forming in July 2002, entering and winning the first heat of battle of the bands, then going on to win the semis and through to the finals.

Having managed themselves so far, getting numerous gigs in and around the Birmingham area, with a strong following/fan base, they are now doing shows in the West End and Camden areas of London, including The Underworld on Camden High Street and SOUND, LEICESTER SQUARE. They are currently awaing news on further gigs at venues such as the Borderline, Hard Rock Cafe etc. They have recently been contacted by a management company, who have suggested they showcase with Epic in US, but are awaiting further info.

Jewels are excellent musicians and show people, with an attractive girl on lead vocals, and have the straight, old-fashioned sex-appeal that many bands lack. With their talents and great hook lines in their songs, many will undoubtedly see the dollar/pound signs waiting around the corner for them.

Jewels are a band hungry to be heard, and seem to know exactly what they are doing, with a great confidence both live and on CD. They have an individual style of rock, pop, "indie", underground and commercial music. With a fantastic combination of chords, solid bass and richly reverberating vocals the music stays in your head long after the show is over. Jewels have a broad repertoire which spans various genres, and a unique commercial edge which will undoubtedly sell millions (watch this space!)
